7 July 2023, Stuttgart. The campus of the family-owned company WOLFF & MÜLLER is full to the brim today for the Family Business Career Day. Over 600 pre-accredited and selected applicants will meet with representatives from over 30 renowned family-owned companies such as LAPP, MANN+HUMMEL and TRUMPF.

Together, they have the opportunity to get to know each other during pre-scheduled meetings or spontaneous talks at the company’s stands. The special thing for applicants is that the career day is primarily an opportunity to meet the owners and top decision-makers of family businesses.

“Family businesses are characterised by their high level of innovation. They offer employees many more opportunities to make a meaningful contribution. The Family Business Career Day is the ideal platform to communicate this perspective to young specialists and managers,” says Stefan Heidbreder, Managing Director of the Foundation for Family Businesses.

The motto of the career day is diversity

The motto selected for the second Family Business Career Day in 2023 is diversity. This is not simply a recent fad in family businesses. On the contrary, diversity has always been part of the DNA of family businesses, as they have long recognised the natural strength of diverse and heterogeneous workforces.

“WOLFF & MÜLLER is fully committed to diversity, which is why we, as hosts, have also placed this topic at the centre of the Family Business Career Day. After all, diverse teams produce better solutions,” says Dr Albert Dürr, Managing Partner of the Wolff & Müller Group.

Under the patronage of Robert Habeck

The Foundation for Family Businesses and the Entrepreneurs Club launched the Family Business Career Day in 2006. The Entrepreneurs Club organises these career fairs exclusively for family businesses. They take place several times a year at family businesses in various locations throughout Germany under the patronage of the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, Robert Habeck.

The Foundation for Family Businesses supports these recruiting events with surveys and studies on the topic of skilled labour retention and employer branding. The surveys, carried out by the Technical University of Munich, are conducted on the occasion of all such career days over the course of a year.

The next Family Business Career Day will take place on 10 November 2023 in the new Viega World at the Viega Group in Attendorn. Further information can be found on the website of the Family Business Career Day.
