Innovation starts with people

27 October 2023, Munich. "Innovation always starts with people. People, talents, their skills, their knowledge and their motivation are the engine of innovation!’ This is what Foundation board member Dr Ulrich B. Stoll said when welcoming participants to the Techforum, an event organised by the Foundation for Family Businesses. ‘But these people and their companies also need the freedom to just get things done."

And the annual Techforum, which took place for the third time on 26 and 27 October 2023 at the Urban Colab in Munich, was all about making things happen. Around 170 shareholders of family businesses, scientists from the Technical University of Munich and founders of start-ups met at the creative centre for future issues. Over the course of one and a half days, they had the opportunity to address the pressing issues of the present and future together.

Together with Europe’s largest start-up incubator

The Techforum was jointly initiated by the Foundation for Family Businesses and the start-up incubator UnternehmerTUM in 2021. Susanne Klatten, founder of UnternehmerTUM, and Stefan Heidbreder, Managing Director of the Foundation for Family Businesses, worked together to create this event.
